Do Your Organizational Values Help or Hurt?

Why the correct answer isn’t what you want it to be, and how you can fix it.

Employee disengagement, burnout, and high turnover are seemingly everywhere, and organizations are struggling to meaningfully connect with their target audiences and survive inflationary pressures. In this environment it probably feels wrong to focus on something as seemingly inconsequential and obscure as organizational values. According to Tate Linden that's because the common practice for establishing and implementing these values doesn't work. It's almost purpose-built to harm the organization right from the start.

There's a better way. And one that makes getting it right critically important to your organization's success.

Over this 90 minute interactive session, Tate will introduce the concept of structural integrity for organizations and discuss the critically important role that values play in mission-driven organizations. He’ll teach us how to assess our existing organizational values if we have them, and how to develop, evaluate, and implement value-sets that deliver real positive results. Along the way we’ll cement our understanding and learn how to practically apply the tools and methods we’ve learned in breakout sessions.

Note: We recommend that you attend from a computer or tablet with a keyboard rather than a smart-phone since the breakout sessions will use tools that may be hard to interact with on smaller screens.

Bio:  Tate Linden

Tate Linden is the creator of Linden’s Integrity Lens - a time-tested behavioral model he began developing in 2008 to deliver structural integrity, traction, and behavior change on behalf of mission-driven organizations. His work is directly linked to dozens of seemingly impossible outcomes, including:

  • Increasing critical infrastructure funding in Iowa by over $2 billion by convincing the conservative Governor and legislature to raise the gas tax by 50%
  • Sparking a struggling HR automation company with just five clients to become the dominant player in their global market sector in under five years
  • Reinvigorating a sputtering manufacturing sector - bringing them 30% year-over-year growth after over a half-century of inexorably crumbling market-share.

Linden’s results have earned the trust of clients like Google, Heinz, DARPA, Meals on Wheels America, the entire North American concrete industry, and the largest caucus of the US House of Representatives.
