Coaching Community of Practice:

Using Arts-Based Experiential Learning in Leadership and Personal Coaching

This virtual program will introduce participants to the theory and science behind arts-based experiential learning (ABEL) as a bridge into engaging participants directly in arts-based experiences.  We will examine an actual case to demonstrate the ‘what’, ‘how’ and ‘outcomes’ of selective coaching relationships.  The case will focus on leadership development within a Fortune 500 company, including personal coaching within the context of organizational life. Participants will walk away with: (1) An understanding of the theory and science behind ABEL and (2) Practical examples of arts-based experiential exercises immediately implementable by participants.

Participants will also learn about an innovative assessment instrument that directly and objectively measures the impact of ABEL on individuals and teams.

Please bring the following material to the session:  3 sheets of blank white paper (copy paper is fine), sharpened pencil, eraser.
