This year’s conference provides an opportunity to see ourselves and our organizations through a resilient lens, and to discover how developing resiliency can significantly expand individual and organization potential and possibilities.
Uncertainty is the new certainty. Change and ambiguity are the new reality in our professional lives. In this environment, it is easy for individuals, leaders, and organizations to become overwhelmed and reactive, rather than proactive. This reactivity depletes people and organizations of their energy, leaving little or no space for strategic thinking and action.
In contrast, resilient individuals, leaders and organizations cultivate a durable and adaptable foundation from which they can bounce back from challenge and crisis; learn from their experiences; and not only weather, but thrive amidst the constants of uncertainty.
So how do we – as leaders, practitioners, and individuals – develop the capabilities to thrive within this new reality? What do leaders need to do differently to build their own resilience and help their people and their organization develop resiliency? What are the key characteristics of resilient organizations? What is the return on investment from this approach?
Through participatory sessions and engaging keynote speakers, participants will deepen their understanding of the theory, skills and practices necessary to develop resilient people and organizations. We hope that this will enlighten attendees and help them better understand how to utilize the untapped human potential
within themselves, their peers, and their organization.

For the second year in a row, CBODN is pleased to hold the 2012 Annual Conference at the Silver Spring Civic Building. This spectacular facility offers open, light-filled spaces with lofty 27-foot ceilings, state-of-the-art technology and beautiful, contemporary architecture.

Cancellation Policy: It is CBODN’s cancellation policy that you may cancel your conference registration before midnight EST on April 1, 2012. However there will be a $50 cancellation fee. After April 1, CBODN is unable to refund any registration fees. If you are unable to attend the conference and would like to transfer your registration to another attendee, there will be a $50 administrative fee to complete that transaction.
