Topic: Overcoming the Hurdles to Progress
 
Facilitator: Maura Walden
 
A creative problem solver, with high standards for quality and achievement, Maura uses her leadership experience as tools in organization development and coaching.  With 25 years in leadership roles, Maura is well acquainted with the challenges of change management.  She has led change initiatives, collaborated on the creation of an organizational transition plans, and has orchestrated a strategic diversity management plan. 
 
Maura’s expertise and knowledge in diversity education and management strengthens her work, as well.  She designs and facilitates programs around generational differences and diversity awareness, while overseeing the activities of an organizational executive diversity council.
 
In addition to extensive experience in diversity management, organization development, and leadership development, Maura remains a leader in the community.  She has presided over Leadership Anne Arundel, and presently directs community relations for Johns Hopkins HealthCare.  She is a member of the Leadership Maryland alumni, as well. 
 
Maura holds a Masters of Science in Organization Development and Strategic Human Resources from Johns Hopkins University; and is a Cornell Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner.  She is certified in SDI, Firo-B, Emotional Intelligence (EQi2.0), MBTI, and Strong; and holds coaching certificates from MentorCoach, Right Management Leader Coaching, Co-Active Coaching and is a member of the International Coach Federation.
 
Program Description:  Learn how to overcome the hurdles to success for yourself and for your clients. Based on Shirzad Chamine’s work on Positive Intelligence, this discussion will look at what gets in our way, and what you can do to activate your highest potential.
