Coaching Community of Practice:

Becoming ‘Braver’ in our Work as Coaches and Consultants

Being an effective coach and change agent requires bravery: the bravery to challenge deeply imbedded and, often unconscious, world views; the bravery to listen without internalizing or taking sides; and the bravery to speak out when there’s injustice, even when the system rewards silence. While ‘use of self’ is a key component for achieving positive results, often fear limits our ability to fully access and use ourselves. The anecdote to that fear is Learned Bravery.  The research on human development makes clear that bravery is a skill that can be learned and developed with practice. In our March 15th program, we will identify and clarify areas where we want or need more bravery. Join us to create your own action plan for learning and developing greater bravery in your professional and personal life.
