Program Description:

As organization development practitioners, we use our knowledge and expertise to support leaders throughout the federal government as they seek to efficiently accomplish their mission and provide valuable service to US citizens.  An important aspect this task is the successful management of human capital.  Many thought leaders have focused on the talent management aspect of this endeavor because that term focuses capabilities of the members of the workforce and their vital role in today’s knowledge economy.  In this presentation Dr. Rothwell will share with you  his ground breaking research on “ Optimizing Talent in the Federal Workforce “ recently published this year based on a joint effort of Management Concepts and Penn State University.  This work is valuable to our work because we operate in an environment of ever tightening budgets and often conflicting political directives. This webinar will provide a holistic approach to:
• Best practices for recruiting and selecting employees
• Proven methods for developing and training employees
• Optimal deployment, placement and knowledge transfer processes
