In today’s economic environment more organizations are demonstrating readiness to evaluation organizational shape and advise leaders on how to make decisions to maximize resources, improve productivity, and plan for the future. You will leave this session with ideas on how to engage leaders in understanding the work of their organization and how to use data to influence org design discussions and decision-making.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Learn how to collect and analyze what the work is, where it is, and who is doing it​
  • Explore classifying roles​
  • Understand how to design the right leadership layers​
  • Dive into assessing and evaluating spans and layers​
  • Gain exposure around how to visualize org shape data​
  • Create an action plan to right-size an organization

Keri Macaluso

Keri is a Managing Director with Accenture’s Operating Model & Organization design team. Her work has focused on high-growth clients across a range of industries such as consumer products, retail, high-tech, utilities, and oil & gas creating new models to support their rapidly evolving needs. She serves as the South Market Unit OM&OD as well as the Energy Industry OM&OD Lead.

Before joining the team in 2020, she spent 7 years with Accenture Strategy’s Energy team working with Upstream Oil & Gas Operators and Oilfield Equipment & Services (OFES) companies solving complex challenges around new operating models, organizational design, capability development, innovation, digital enablement, and operations excellence. Prior to joining Accenture, she worked in the commercial group of an Oil & Gas major as a Risk and Trading Analyst supporting trading activities for refined products, crude oil, fuel oils, and natural gas & power.

Keri has published several blogs and thought-leadership pieces related to blueprinting new organizations, activating models, and re-skilling needs related to future ways of working.

She holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA from Rice University in Houston. Keri is based in Houston, Texas.


Meredith Paxton

Meredith is a Senior Manager with Accenture’s Operating Model & Organization Design practice. Meredith partners with executive leaders across industries to solve difficult business challenges by designing effective organization models that unlock value and fuel growth.

Meredith has more than 20 years of experience in consulting. With deep expertise in Human Resources, Meredith has helped companies optimize their HR function and align HR initiatives to support business strategy. A veteran to program and change management, Meredith understands the unique needs of an organization amid disruption and is a trusted advisor to leaders embarking on organization design and activation. She has worked with clients in financial services, retail, consumer products, healthcare and life sciences, aerospace and defense, hospitality, government, and high-tech. Meredith brings an ability to make connections and build bridges between groups and individuals. Her optimistic perspective enables her to excel at working with organizations to design new operating models and facilitate significant organizational change. She applies strategic thinking to help clients identify capability development needs, drive innovation, introduce digital enablement, and build operational excellence.

Meredith has spent most of her career in consulting working for PwC, Buck Consultants, and Accenture. She has also held executive positions in HR at Fidelity Investments and Accelion, a venture capital start-up. She holds a BA in Psychology from Rollins College, and an MBA from The University of Tampa. She is passionate about environmental sustainability and based in Houston, TX.
