Topic: Story Typing - A Tool to Assess Individual and Group Motivation
How do you quickly develop insights into individual and team member motivation? Find out during this lively and interactive session which introduces story typing, Dr. Carol S. Pearson’s breakthrough archetypal system for working with the unconscious story-based patterns that live inside people and groups. During the session, we’ll simulate a real team building session using ourselves as its members. We’ll come to see and appreciate each other and ourselves through a new lens and find out what our dynamics would be like via the 12 story types most likely to personify our beliefs, behaviors, character and capacity. Participants are invited (but not required) to take the free version of the Professional Strengths, Values & Story Survey (SVSS) before the session: http://www.storybranding.com/take-the-svss-survey/

Changes: We are changing the way we run the Coaching Community of Practice. Those who receive notice they are on the attendance list will pay $5.00 by Venmo to reserve their place. We will send instructions regarding using Venmo when you receive notice you are on the attendance list. We will not be offering refunds. We ask that cancellations be at least 48 hours in advance so we can contact those on the waiting list and give them sufficient notice to attend. If necessary, last minute cancellations are appreciated so we can do the appropriate room set-up.
In order to balance who attends we delay notifying those on the attendance list for up to a week to include those who have not attended recently. We also encourage new members to attend. We apologize if you do not get on the attendance list each month and hope you understand that we want to include more members, not only those who responded quickly. We limit our sessions to 30 attendees as we sit in a circle to encourage full participation. From now on those who are 'no-shows' or last minute cancellations will be placed on the waiting list for future meetings until we have openings. RSVP only if you want to attend, no need to send 'regrets.'
Please let us know if you are a new member or have not attended the last three or more sessions. We are very grateful for your interest and support.
We need a few volunteers to help set up the room. Please let me know if you can assist us at 6:00.
You will receive notification within the next seven days about whether you are on the list to attend or on the waiting list. Also, please include the phone number where you can be reached if we need to contact you the day of the meeting. Be sure to check your email for any updates if the weather is challenging or for any other changes that evening.
