Event Title Quiet Leadership: Six Steps to Transforming Performance at Work by David Rock

Quiet Leadership: Six Steps to Transform Performance at Work by David Rock

This is a book that helps us understand ‘how to help people think better.’  Performance improvement requires that people change the way they think. The way we think is embedded in our neural fibers from years of upbringing, interactions, education, and culture. Those past experiences have forged deep ‘natural’ canyons of ‘go-to’ responses of what ‘fits’ and ‘doesn’t fit’ for us.

Have you ever given well-intended advice to someone struggling with a sticky problem that you have some experience with? They have probably listened politely…and then taken none of your advice. The neural pathways that made sense for you in that situation made absolutely no sense to them.

What if you could help them ‘think differently’ about that situation? To see the problem through a new lens? Transforming performance requires a new way of thinking and Quiet Leadership offers a six step model to do just that.
The author, David Rock, is one of the global pioneers in the coaching field. As the driver of the NeuroLeadership Group business, and the developer of Results' coaching models, he has been responsible for the development of thousands of coaches worldwide. He has written four books: Your Brain at Work, Quiet Leadership, Theoretical Foundations of Coaching, and Personal Best. He holds a doctorate in the Neuroscience of Leadership and regularly consults with companies in the fortune 500 on creating coaching cultures.
